Mel's bdae was like 1 months ago and we decided to have dinner at somewhere new. We decided to try out Les Amis' The Canteen on yx's recommendation! The Canteen is at Shaw Towers along the stretch of road where the taxi stand is. But if i am not wrong, when my dad drove pass the place 2 weeks ago, it seemed to have closed down. It doesnt seem to be closed for renovation though.
The restaurant was nice and cosy but rather small. The noisy bunch of us totally spoilt the atmosphere i think.

I apologise that i cant rem the exact name of the dishes we had! Too hungry to care! haha! Appetiser was some escargots pastry. It was really yummy! Then there was some special mushroom soup served in an espresso cup. Rich and delicious! that small cup was really enuff. Then we had main dishes such as steak, veal cheek and pastas. My steak wasnt exactly great and i wished they could do much better with their fries. Yx's veal cheek was super nice and tender though!

Prices are relatively higher than normal restaurants we usually visit but all in all, it was a nice experience.
After that we headed down to double O to continue mel's bdae celebration with her colleagues. A nite full of drinks!
