Having porridge @ Clementi Central's Hawker Centre is one of our breakfast enjoyment on saturday.
I love the minced pork in the porridge! But like less and less minced pork from the first time i tried it. But you cant stir the porridge too much kind, it will get watery.
A yummy porridge to kick-start our day!

Dinner @ Kushigin
We had dinner at Kushigin @ Cuppage Plaza recently. We had this craving for japanese food but wanted to try out somewhere different. So we went to browse through different food blog and chanced abt this place. We had wanted to go to another place(we totally forgot wat it is called), also at cuppage plaza but it was fully booked. Seems like cuppage plaza has quite a few good authentic jap restaurents.
Because there was like 6 of us + 1 infant, we manage to get a private corner, which was kinda cosy.
It is a charcoal grilled restaurent. From the blog reviews, we knew that the restaurent was famous for its yakitori. So we went crazy ordering sticks!
Wasabi squid & Octopus. TH jie misread and thot these will be grilled. hehe! In the end, they turned out seasoned and raw! haha! Unfortunately, they din seem to have any charcoal grilled squid & octopus which she was craving for.
Tuna Sashimi - Auntie was craving for sashimi.. keke!
Grilled fish (eh.. dunno wat type of fish.. :P) .... the meat was fresh! The skin was crispy and fragrant.
Cha soba! it has raw quail egg to beat into the sauce! Totally authentic!!
Chawanmushi. Yummy & smooth but we feel sushi tei's was abit more tastier.
Pork wrapped asparagus! I rem having this at some Yakitori Joint @ prinsep! The asparagus in the pork wrapped asparagus was so juicy and yummy! I could always remember the yummy combination! Somemore, I dun exactly like asparagus kind.
I was soo excited for this dish!! But turn out not as yummy~
Crispy Chicken Skin!! SOooo Goood! Fragrant & o-so-crispy!! We had a second round of this!!
Quail Eggs... jus quail eggs in some sauce... Nothing special.
Absolutely delicious garlic pork! The pork was juicy, crispy on the sides with a slight charred taste wondrously combined with slices of garlic!
Shishamo! We still prefer them when its fried! Haha!!
Salmon belly!! Yumz Yumz!!
Beef!! So tender! So good!! I love the slight charred taste! But a little too salty!!
Salmon wrapped with bacon & shitake mushroom!! I absolutely adore the mushroom!! We had a great idea to bbq shitake mushrooms next time! hehe! The salmon was good too!!
Special meatball! The combination of the raw quail egg gives a really good smooth taste!!
Hee Hee Hee........
Satisfying!!... N i notice they have quite good afforable lunch sets!! Can go try out the lunch next time!!

Melbourne Day 5! Phillips Island there!
This is the day where we will head to phillips island to see the cute little penguins! But the penguin doesnt come in till night time so we decided to spend some time in the day to have a scenic drive through Yarra Valley.
Yarra valley was known to have loads of vineyards & winnery. N apparently the view of the vineyards were fantastic! However, because of the season, the bushes looks more dead than beautiful. So we took a quick drive and decided to head for phillips island earlier.
A quick ham & cheese sandwich for brunch. See the background? I was in charge of reading the "Melway"! Melbourne's street directory! haha!
See the dried up branches? Disappointment! My friend yx say can see the frown on my face at the side mirror! haha! I din even notice it!
On the route to phillips island, we came across of many signs that we must stop by this farm. So we took a quick stop and chanced upon its nursery! So ke ai!!

Melbourne Trip - Day 4
It was a sunday! Our itinery for this day was to go Victoria Market in the morning, horse riding at mornington peninsula and then dinner at BC's friend, Matthew,'s place.
Sunday is known to be the best day to shop @ Victoria Market. Sunday is the busiest day at Victoria Market so all the shops are open! To me, Victoria Market is like a major huge pasar malam! It has almost everything there! The market is divided into sections; clothes & souveniers, wet market and then fruits & vegetable. The place to shop for souveniers and goodies to bring back home!
I bought loads of nuts & dried fruits for my mummy! We also bought our souveniers for our friends!
Churros stall! O so yummy!
Freshly made donuts with jam fillings inside! I din fancy it that much though. N you have to buy like 6. We ate 2 and threw the rest away. We were filled from breakfast and it got cold pretty fast because of the weather. Doesnt taste nice cold.
A part of Vic Market
It tooks us about 2 hours to reach Mornington Peninsula. We got a bit lost searching for the horse riding place. However, when we finally reached there, we were informed our horseriding session was to be cancelled. This was due to the horse flu that was spreading around Victoria. Al horses throughout aussie were required to be quarantined. Boo hoo! This means we had to replan 2 hours of our itinery which we have set aside specially for this.
We decided to go to a nearby strawberry farm. However, there was no picking of strawberries as it was still winter so we settled for some dessert.
Nice view @ Arthur Seat
BC took this.
Next stop! Enchanted Maze Garden. We had some fun with the maze and kids puzzles.
the maze that killed me
Cute boy @ the beach!
Beach houses. Apparently 1 of the beautiful sights of Mornington Peninsula. But nothing much there. hehe
@ Matthew's Place
Matthew's gf, Kelly, whipped out a fantastic vietnamese dinner for us! She is fantastic! the food was fantastic too! Matthew is so lucky to have her!! Wish i am as capable in cooking like her too!
All ready to dig in!!
