Quarter of a Century celebration.

Yes! I am 25 this year! Officially a quarter of a century old! O geez! Sounds really old! Dammit! However, sad (or perhaps happy) that i still feel and act like a young gal! haha! N i sure do hope that I look younger than my age too! keke!

Celebrated my special day with my closest frens and BC. We are all turning 25 this year but I am the first. How sad to be the oldest of the lot. Haha!

Thanks yx for helping to organise the celebration for me. She started making arrangments 2 weeks before my special day. She suggested timbre near substation cause I wanted some place new and her sister had recommended that the food was pretty nice and the price was reasonable.

Timbre has this like open air concept. Which means to expect fallen leaves, heat and mosquitoes. Haha! its is also pretty hard to locate(when driving) as it pretty deep in from the main road. N there was to be a live band at that starts at 10pm which will make the place nice to dine and lay back after dinner.

However, the group of us were pretty eager to get out of the place once we completed our dinner and cake. It was because we were feeling a warm and itchy. Hehe. we are getting spoilt

We decided to head down to Meritus Mandarin's Observatory Lounge instead to sit down and have some drinks. It was a good decision as it started to rain when we were on the way to the hotel!

We had a good chat at the lounge. 1 of our fwen is getting married and was discussing with us her wedding plans. It will be like the first wedding in our group so we were all pretty excited of the chance of being "jie meis" and of cos, we are really happy for her.

After the Lounge, a few of us sand KTV till 3 am. How tiring. Haha! But I had great fun singing that nite!

Overall, it was a simple celebration. But I am really glad I got to spend it with my fwens. So sad 2 of our fwens could not make it for the celebration.


Pizza & My steak. The steak was not much "WOW" but the mushroom on it was FANTASTIC!!! Mmmm!!! Too busy eating to take pic of what others had ordered.

Annual Chinese New Year Steamboat!

It has been our group tradition to gather up during chinese new year to have steamboat!!

This year, we decided to go out for steamboat! Easier to organise and also we are jus some lazy pigs!! keke!

Went to this old rundown looking shophouse restaurent at purvis street! I forgot the name! It is between killiney kopitiam and this thai restaurent (not ying thai). The restuarent is nearer to the beach road side.

Seems like it is some "lao zi hao" place. Really crowded! You will never know it serves steamboat from the outside for all you see is a couple of chicken hanging and a old uncle chopping chicken up on the chopping board.

The chicken rice was yummy! The steamboat did not have much selection but it was good! I love the beef!! so tender!! yumz! We ordered loads of plates of beef!! N the best part! it was pretty cheap!!! haha!!

Beware though! Think the steamboat has loads of MSG. Cause all of us feeling super thirsty after it.





After our lunch, we did shopping! Its madness going shopping with so many gals! Never ending!! haha!

It was hours before we finally adjourn to my hse to "Lao Yu Sheng" and for a game of blackjack!

Initial O(range)!!

Someone got "ge kiang" and bet with me that he can drive with 2 oranges balanced nicely on his dashboard!

Somehow they start rolling off the dashboard eventually, then he claims as long as the orange did not drop into the ground, he still wins...

Guess where the orange end up?



Well.... he won, I cant imagine anyone being able to drive like that. Well, he did. Admitting my defeat, I immediatly saved the orange's life and my own.

Beijing Xiao Chi

BC brought me to this place near chinatown for yummy guo tie for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Coincidentally, it was the same place that my Uni fren, Henry, brought me to eat xiao long bao couple of years ago! Haha! I can still rem there was this stage that I really loved to eat xiao long baos alot! Then my fwens Henry and Ah Long jioed me go eat xiao long bao at some old chinatown restaurent. I still rem that Ah Long backed out at the last moment. Sheesh!!



Anyway, if you are looking for a wide selection of dumpling variety, this is the wrong place to look. The choices are really little but if the items are really yummy, it doesnt really matter as you do not have enuff space to stomach others. The dumpling are freshly prepared on the spot so its freshness guranteed!



It is a smallshop house restaurent. I estimate can only hold around 50 pple. You have to like queue outside the restaurent for your table as its really small inside. I noticed that the place has quite a few koreans and japanese patrons. Cant figure out why.

Yumz!! Heard the xiao long bao was not that yummy so din order.


Chinese Pizza! Love the pastry! Damn Filling! Abit too much for 2 person.


Gui Hua Dumpling!! Love the Gui Hua syrup. "washes" the oil away.

Tanglin Supermarket.

Stopped by at Tanglin Shopping Centre on my own the other day. Love the supermarket there! Loads of interesting stuffs! Feel like buying everything! But freaking ex!

Used to go there all the time when it first open. Mum works nearby so we will go there for dinner and supermarket exploration.

I guess the only place where my mum and i wun b bored shopping together is at the supermarket! Loads of different things u cant find from our normal NTUC.

Bought a few things from there. Think one or two items can be found at normal supermarket. Wanted to buy somemore. But i thot of my shallow pocket and stopped myself. There was this spongebob yoghurt tubes that cost 10bucks! So tempted!
